Tasks

As a Full-Stack Developer at Shyfter, you'll be a key player in crafting seamless, intuitive interfaces and building the robust backend that powers our platform. You'll be a bridge between design and functionality, working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and other developers, to develop and implement solutions that align with our ambitious goals. You will report directly to the Dev Lead.

On the Front-End:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end features using React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS for our web platform.
  • Ensure the responsiveness, performance, and scalability of our web (mobile is a plus) applications.
  • Utilize React Query for efficient data fetching and state management.
  • Mobile development is a plus, knowledge with React Native and Expo (Expo EAS and Expo Router).
  • Participate in code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and adhere to best practices in coding and design.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality across different platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development to keep our product at the cutting edge.

On the Back-End:

  • With the product team, you develop new features and improve existing ones.
  • You will love to connect Shyfter to a wide range of external tools and services.
  • You're fully involved in each and every aspect of our fast-moving product development process.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Laravel.
  • Maintain and query relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
  • Implement unit testing, continuous deployment, integration and testing.
  • Experienced in web services, including REST APIs.
  • GitHub is your second-best friend.
  • Constantly challenge and expand your knowledge of reliable software architecture, programming, and new technologies.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a front-end developer and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Laravel backend development (Medior level), preferably within a SaaS or tech-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and React Native (with Expo).
  • Experience working with React Query for state management and data fetching.
  • Familiarity with Next.js is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to producing high-quality, user-friendly applications.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages (FR/NL) is an asset.
  • Organized and highly technical, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently while focusing on project details, timely delivery, and system quality.
