Senior Director, Clinical Business Development – Europe Location: Europe (flexible; frequent travel) QPS is a global, full-service CRO supporting biotech, pharma, and medical device companies from early Phase I through late-phase clinical trials. We combine scientific expertise, operational excellence, and a patient-centric approach to deliver high-quality clinical solutions worldwide. We’re hiring a Senior Director of Clinical Business Development to grow QPS’s clinical CRO business across Europe. This role is for a proven BD leader with demonstrated success winning complex, late phase clinical trial programs and building long-term client partnerships. You’ll work closely with global BD, scientific, and operational teams to drive regional growth. Your role – Own the European sales cycle for QPS’s late-phase clinical CRO services, from opportunity identification through contract execution Win and expand complex late-phase clinical trial engagements with pharma and biotech sponsors across Europe Develop and manage senior-level sponsor relationships, acting as the primary commercial point of contact Represent QPS commercially at key industry conferences, client meetings, and sponsor discussions Collaborate with internal clinical and operational teams to shape competitive, client-specific proposals and solutions What we seek – Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field 10+ years of successful CRO business development experience in Europe, with a proven track record of closing large, complex, late-phase clinical deals Strong knowledge of clinical trials and European regulatory requirements Established industry network and strong negotiation skills Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus (this role will focus on the DACH region, so German language skills are especially helpful) Willingness to travel 50%+ Why QPS?
