Junior Network & Security Engineer Location: Hasselt, Belgium (4 days on-site per week) Language: English (professional working proficiency) Overview We are partnering with an innovative technology company operating in the aerospace industry, specialising in GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) solutions. As part of continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Network & Security Engineer to support the setup, maintenance, and security of their office and IT infrastructure across multiple locations. This role is well suited to an early‑career engineer who enjoys hands‑on work, infrastructure setup, and collaborating closely with on‑site teams. Key Responsibilities Support the design, setup, and maintenance of office network infrastructure Assist with server setup and configuration Work hands‑on with internal teams and external contractors, providing guidance on wiring, cabling, and hardware installation Support the rollout and setup of two new office locations in Hasselt Configure and maintain firewalls, VLAN‑managed networks, and general network security controls Troubleshoot network, server, and connectivity issues as they arise Work extensively within Linux‑based environments Ensure systems are documented and maintained in line with internal standards Required Skills & Experience Experience or strong interest in network engineering / IT infrastructure Hands‑on experience with Linux environments Understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, VLANs, and office networks Comfortable working on‑site and providing practical, hands‑on support Strong communication skills and ability to work in English Ability to collaborate with non‑technical stakeholders and external vendors Desirable / Nice to Have Exposure to network security concepts Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Check Point environments Experience working in regulated, technical, or engineering‑led industries Interest in aerospace, satellite systems, or high‑reliability environments Working Model On‑site 4 days per week in Hasselt Collaborative, engineering‑focused working environment Opportunity to gain exposure to aerospace and GNSS technologies Seniority Level Mid–Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Information Technology Industries Computer and Network Security #J-18808-Ljbffr
