🚀 Senior Data Engineer – Azure & Microsoft Fabric📍 Brussel / Hybrid working from home 📅 1-year contract – renewal possible 🧠 Senior level – 7+ years experience✨ About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support a large-scale data transformation program. You’ll play a key role in a Core Banking Renewal while also helping modernise the analytics platform on Azure & Microsoft Fabric.This is a hands-on role in a complex, regulated environment with real ownership.🔧 What You’ll Be DoingPhase 1 – Core Banking Renewal (CBR)Design and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines from a new core banking system into the existing data platformEnsure data quality, performance, and availability for analytics and reportingAdapt pipelines to support parallel run and reconciliation during transitionCollaborate closely with data analysts and business teams to stabilise data feedsPhase 2 – Azure & Microsoft Fabric ModernisationDesign, build, and operate analytics platforms on Azure and Microsoft FabricImplement and optimise Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and SQL-based transformationsLead and support migration from Power BI Report Server / SSAS to Microsoft FabricSupport controlled cut-over and decommissioning of legacy reporting componentsPlatform Reliability & EngineeringBuild and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL, dbt and/or WhereScapeImplement CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and cost optimisationEnsure security, access control (RBAC), lineage, and auditabilityEnable BI and AI teams with reliable, governed datasets🎯 What We’re Looking ForMust-havesSenior experience as a Data Engineer in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft FabricProven experience in core banking renewal or large core-system data migration programsProven experience migrating Power BI Report Server or SSAS to Microsoft FabricStrong SQL and data pipeline engineering backgroundExperience with dbtExperience in regulated or enterprise environmentsFluent in EnglishNice to haveWhereScape experience🧠 You’re Someone WhoIs pragmatic and delivery-focusedFeels comfortable working in phased transformation programsTakes ownership and follows throughWorks autonomously in complex environments📩 Interested?
