We are looking for a Back End Developer to join our team in Brussels . In this role, you will design, maintain, and enhance backend applications, ensuring stability and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions and support continuous improvement in development practices. Your Role Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using COBOL and SQL. Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) and validate new features. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, incidents, and performance issues. Deploy new developments and updates to development environments. Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and deployments. Monitor application performance, logs, and batch processes. Contribute to improving tools, practices, and code quality. Your Profile Degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, or a related field. Proficiency in COBOL, SQL (Oracle), and basic Linux commands. Knowledge of UC4 scheduler, KornShell scripts, C++, Thaler framework (financial software) is a plus. Familiarity with MS Office and strong English communication skills. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively. Team-oriented with the capacity to work independently. Fluent English speaker; French and Dutch are a plus.
