Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. Mission Description :

  • Design of High Voltage (HV) electrical substations.
  • Power calculations.
  • Expertise in creating design plans representing all the structures of a substation, meeting electrical standards, safety rules, and the requirements of European electrical network operators.
  • Represent associated civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with the project's technical specifications (standards, best practices, etc.).

Main Responsibilities :

  1. Design of High / Medium / Low Voltage (HV) electrical substation plans:

    • Create technical drawings of electrical substations in 2D and 3D, including the representation of electromechanical equipment (structures, gantries, circuit breakers, disconnectors, power transformers, surge arresters, instrument transformers - CT, VT, etc.);
    • Design cable routing (including accessories), gantry and pylon layout plans, and equipment arrangement according to project specifications;
    • Design the grounding network and foundations associated with the equipment and buildings to be installed.

  2. Compliance with electrical network operator requirements and standards:

    • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical standards requirements, such as minimum safety distances between equipment and arc flash protection zones, as well as fire standards requirements;
    • Knowledge of safety standards and the requirements imposed by network operators or producers.

  3. Design of control-command buildings:

    • Create plans for the control-command buildings of substations, including the layout of control cabinets, communication systems, protection, and measurement equipment;
    • Consider specific needs related to electrical safety, access, handling, ventilation, fire, and ergonomics for operating personnel.

  4. Establishment of material lists based on the established plans.

Required Qualifications :

  • Degree: Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a draftsman in the field of High Voltage (HV) electrical substations.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in drawing software (Microstation, AutoCAD, or similar).
    • Proficiency in Caneco.
    • Good understanding of HV substation layout concepts and associated equipment (circuit breakers, disconnectors, CT, VT, transformers, GIS, etc.), grounding networks, foundations, buildings.
    • Knowledge of the principles of protection equipment layout and control-command systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of standards related to HV substations (safety standards, minimum distances, etc.).

  • Good team spirit, rigorous, flexible, results-oriented, and ability to communicate/recommend with project engineers.

  • Demonstrate proactivity in design.

Languages: French or Dutch, or English.
