Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on best practices in data visualization and user experienceBuild and manage scalable data pipelines and queries to extract and transform data from Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Oracle databases into efficient and reusable reporting models. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define data requirements, model business logic, and ensure high-quality, validated data is presented in Power BI reports and dashboards.Implement and manage access control mechanisms for Power BI reports, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace permissions, to ensure proper protection of sensitive but non-classified (SNC) data in compliance with data governance policies.Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI datasets and reports, including performance tuning, data refresh strategies, and monitoring of data integrity and access issues.Document end-to-end technical solutions, including data architecture, data flows, and security configurations, ensuring transparency, maintainability, and traceability of Business Intelligence assets. LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelor or Master Degree KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:• Excellent knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling, and visualization best practices• Excellent knowledge of integrating Power BI with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Oracle databases• Ability to implement and manage security features in Power BI such as Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace access, and data governance policies• Strong understanding of data modelling techniques, including star schema, normalization, and semantic layer design• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Power BI solutions, including performance tuning, data refresh scheduling, and error resolution• Familiarity with version control best practices• Strong documentation skills, including technical design specs, data lineage, and security configurations• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage business stakeholders and technical teamsSPECIFIC EXPERTISE:• at least 5 years of excellent knowledge in Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, PowerBI integration) (min. competence level 4)• at least 5 years of excellent expertise in PowerBI (DAX, Power Query, Row-Level Security) (min.competence level 4)• at least 5 years of excellent expertise in advanced SQL (complex querying, performance tuning) (min. competence level 4)• at least 5 years of excellent expertise in data modelling and data governance (min. competence level 4)CERTIFICATIONS:Following certificates & standards are mandatory for the performance of tasks:Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst AssociateLevel : 9Delivery mode : Near Site (Brussels)Deadline 15/01/26 at 09 am CET
