We're partnering with a leading construction consultancy delivering some of the most complex data centre and life sciences projects across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager Lead to take a senior, strategic role within their Belgium operation. This is an opportunity for an experienced commercial leader to shape major client relationships, build and mentor high-performing teams, and play a key role in the delivery of high-value, mission-critical projects. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Act as key account manager, building trusted client relationships based on partnership Lead and oversee strategic data centre construction projects Support business development, securing repeat work and engaging new clients Produce and review estimates, cost plans, QTOs, and BoQs Demonstrate strong proficiency in CostX and databooks Lead and manage large cost management teams, setting standards and direction Prepare and implement QA/QC Plans and Manuals to ensure consistent quality delivery Provide leadership across CSA and MEP packages (MEPF knowledge preferred) Support global procurement strategies on international projects Manage multiple stakeholders across different time zones Contribute to sales activity, marketing initiatives, and client proposals Mentor, train, and develop team leaders and commercial professionals Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement About You We'd love to hear from you if you: Have 10+ years' experience in cost management, with a strong focus on pre-construction Come from a consultancy background delivering large-scale construction projects Have proven experience on data centre and/or life sciences projects Have a minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience with CostX (Planswift, Cubicost, Candy, or ZW CAD also considered) Have the confidence and capability to lead a business unit, build teams, and manage key clients Hold a degree (or equivalent experience) in Cost Management or Construction Are chartered or actively working towards chartership (support provided) Are commercially astute with a strong understanding of market dynamics and business models Are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing Thrive in a dynamic environment with autonomy over priorities and deadlines Enjoy building strong, open relationships with clients and colleagues
