Nexeo Belgium is a consultancy company that supports its clients in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors throughout all stages of their transformation projects — from business consulting to the implementation of IT solutions.As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to be part of Nexeo:International environment (offices in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland & Canada)More than 450 employeesOver 20% growth each yearWe are currently looking for an Accounting & Reporting Officer for one of our clients in the banking sector.Your responsibilitiesData Analysis & ValidationAnalyse and validate financial data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.Monitor data consistency, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with back-office teams to resolve issues.Manage and prepare various financial reports.Participate in system and procedure updates and contribute to process improvements.Perform comprehensive data quality and process checks across reporting systems.Accounting ControlReview and evaluate the use of internal accounts (suspense, active accounts, etc.) by different business lines.Ensure alignment between individual entries and general ledger accounts.Guarantee the proper reconciliation between source systems and ledger data, including cross-border reporting.Reporting & ConsolidationProduce harmonised reports that meet both internal and group requirements.Support the monthly closing process, ensuring timeliness and data reliability.Reconcile account balances with reporting systems and explain variations in the balance sheet and P&L.Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements and consolidation activities.Comment on financial reports and provide insights for management review.Process & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in the update of operational procedures and internal controls.Identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and contribute to the implementation of process and system enhancements.Support compliance with new regulations or group policies by translating them into operational requirements.Participate in departmental projects linked to regulatory or procedural changes.Your profileBachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, or financial control.Proven experience in bank accounting.Strong proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Access.Knowledge of financial products and services.Experience in a banking environment is an asset.Soft skillsAccuracy and strong attention to detailAnalytical and problem-solving mindsetStrong communication skills and team spiritRisk awareness and organisational sensitivityAutonomous and structured approachLanguages: Dutch, French, and English – fluent in all three.Join Nexeo and contribute to the financial control and reporting activities of a leading bank, combining precision, analysis, and collaboration in an international environment.Apply now and take your next step with Nexeo Belgium.
