Senior Test & Validation Engineer (M/F/X)On behalf of our client Xenics, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Test & Validation Engineer to strengthen their engineering team. You are someone who thrives on technical challenges, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about ensuring product excellence from concept to industrialization.Xenics is a market leader in infrared imaging and sensor technology, offering cutting-edge solutions that combine advanced imaging systems with unparalleled expertise. You will be joining a high-tech international environment with numerous challenges and responsibilities in both the production department and other areas of the company.Your ResponsibilitiesTest Strategy & PlanningDefine validation and verification plans for new products and platforms.Develop test protocols, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.Hands-on Testing & AnalysisPerform electrical, optical, mechanical, and environmental testing of sensors, cameras, and modules.Automate test procedures where possible (LabVIEW, Python, etc.).Analyze results, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.Continuous ImprovementDrive improvements in test methodologies, tools, and infrastructure.Contribute to building scalable, robust validation processes to support high-volume industrialization.Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with R&D designers, project managers, quality, and operations.Support design reviews with test data and risk assessments.Provide input for design-for-testability and reliability improvements.Support customer-specific validation when required.Your ProfileMaster’s degree in Electronics, Physics, Optics, or a related engineering field.5+ years of experience in test engineering, validation, or reliability engineering in a high-tech environment.Strong knowledge of test methodologies and hands-on experience with test automation (Python expertise required).Familiarity with optical or electro-optical testing is a strong plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to get to root causes.Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear technical documentation and present to stakeholders.Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.Fluency in English.What’s in it for you?An attractive salary package with additional fringe benefits – more details upon contact.A chance to work in a cutting-edge international environment.A role with a high degree of autonomy and variety.Interested?Reach out via burak.erdem@cohesian.be or apply directly through the vacancy.
