Job Purpose / Summary

As a Delivery Manager, you'll take full ownership of a large, complex contract—guiding it through its entire lifecycle. You'll be the key player ensuring business success, operational excellence, and top-tier client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Motivate and coordinate your team to achieve outstanding results while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Balance customer expectations with WESTPOLE's goals, provide constructive feedback, and resolve internal conflicts efficiently.
  • Plan and distribute workloads effectively, including holiday and training scheduling, ensuring smooth business continuity.
  • Be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and owner for activities related to large, complex contracts.
  • Oversee costs, resources, schedules, and deliverables, aligning them with business objectives and WESTPOLE policies.

Performance & Process Optimization

  • Continuously improve interactions with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate data and seamless timesheet management.
  • Implement smarter work methods and technologies to optimize workflows.
  • Track and report operational performance through key metrics, including monthly dashboards.
  • Proactively anticipate risks, eliminate bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement for higher service quality.

Customer & Contract Management

  • Ensure customer satisfaction while driving revenue, profit, and business growth—working closely with Sales to explore new opportunities.
  • Manage contract scope, commitments, and stakeholder responsibilities, mitigating risks that could impact success.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients, ensuring services align with their business objectives and WESTPOLE's vision.
  • Stay ahead of customer expectations, addressing potential gaps to reinforce long-term relationships.

Problem Solving & Communication

  • Act as the go-to person for complex issues and escalations, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
  • Bridge communication between customers and WESTPOLE departments to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Manage crisis situations efficiently, preventing contract erosion and securing long-term success.

  • Influence key stakeholders—including executive management—through strategic decision-making and diplomacy.
  • Take ownership of tools, processes, and priorities, establishing yourself as a recognized expert in your field.

Analytical Skills

  • Experience working with budgets, ensuring profitability, and optimizing costs.
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and financial planning.

Necessary Expertise

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in project delivery—experience with international organizations is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent through experience).
  • Languages: Fluent in English & French—Dutch or other European languages are a plus.
  • Mobility: Willing to travel across Europe (or beyond) to engage with international organizations when needed.

Please be aware that for this role, having a Security Clearance or at least being Security Clearable is mandatory.
