One of our valued clients based in Mechelen, are looking for a Dutch speaking Data Engineer with good knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks. The client is open to both freelancers or permanent employees. What You'll DoDesign, implement, and maintain scalable Azure data platforms (Data Lake, SQL DB, Synapse, Fabric)Build and optimize ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Spark, Python, and SQLDevelop data solutions for ingestion, transformation, and enrichment to enable BI and data scienceCollaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into data productsEnsure data quality, monitoring, and alerting for robust and reliable pipelinesApply DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep/Terraform)Profile RequirementsExpertise in Azure data ecosystem: Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, DatabricksPython experience and SQL skillsBuilding ETL/data pipelines at scaleFamiliarity with business intelligence tools like Power BI or FabricGood understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and pipeline orchestrationExperience with DevOps tooling and IaC (Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Bicep/Terraform)Can bridge between tech and businessDutch speaking (Mandatory) Who you are A team player passionate about data, who learns and shares knowledgeSomeone who thrives in a start‐up vibe: high energy, fun, but accountableYou're impact‐driven, respectful, and eager to help clients make better decisions
