We're seeking an experienced System Engineer to support a high-profile international defence and security programme based in The Hague, Netherlands. The successful consultant will contribute to the design, integration, and evolution of complex systems within a multinational operational environment.

The Hague, Netherlands
Contract
- Start Date: November 2026
- Duration: 600 hours
- Contract/Freelance engagement
- Security-cleared
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of system and solution architectures.
- Contribute to cloud and on-premises solution design activities.
- Define, analyse and manage system requirements and traceability.
- Support technical baseline and interface management.
- Assist with integration planning and verification strategies.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to manage requirements, change requests, and project delivery activities.
Required Experience
- Strong background in Systems Engineering management.
- Experience with requirements engineering and traceability tools such as DOORS or similar.
- Technical baseline and interface management experience.
- Integration planning and verification expertise.
- Understanding of complex operational environments and multi-system integration.
- Experience in usability, human factors, or user journey analysis is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT or technical discipline and relevant professional experience, or
Active NATO Secret Clearance is required.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working within international organisations.
- Knowledge of defence, military, command-and-control, or NATO environments.
