SAP FS-RI Consultant (Reinsurance)We are hiring an experienced SAP FS-RI Consultant (Reinsurance) for one of our clients in Brussels. This is a remote techno-functional role responsible for the end-to-end implementation, configuration, development, and support of the SAP FS-RI (Financial Services – Reinsurance) module.The role requires strong expertise in reinsurance business processes, solid SAP FS-RI configuration skills, and hands-on ABAP development experience to deliver stable, high-quality solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Consulting & ConfigurationAnalyze business requirements from reinsurance stakeholders (Underwriting, Claims, Accounting) and translate them into SAP FS-RI solutionsConfigure SAP FS-RI core components, including:Basic system settings (Company Codes, Currencies, etc.)Treaty management (Treaty Master, Coverage, Shares)Assumed and ceded reinsuranceBordereaux processing and accounting rulesLoss and reserve processingConfigure sub-ledger functionalities and interfaces with SAP FI/CO and General LedgerPrepare and document functional specifications (RICEF)Execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Provide third-level support for complex incidents and production issuesDevelopment & TechnicalDevelop and enhance ABAP programs within SAP FS-RI (reports, interfaces, enhancements)Work with BAdIs, User Exits, Function Modules, and OO ABAPPerform data migration using LSMW or custom ABAP programsDebug and troubleshoot technical and functional issuesCollaborate with SAP Basis teams on upgrades and performance tuningRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong knowledge of Reinsurance business processes (Proportional, Non-Proportional, Facultative)Hands-on expertise in SAP FS-RI configurationSolid understanding of integration with SAP FI/CO, FS-CD, and ECC or S/4HANAAdvanced ABAP development skills, including enhancements and debuggingExperience working with FS-RI data models and objectsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperienceMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FS-RIProven experience as both a Functional Consultant and ABAP DeveloperFull lifecycle SAP FS-RI implementation experience is highly desirable
