In deze rol ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen en implementeren van de logistieke strategie, waarbij je de supply chain optimaliseert, nieuwe technologieën aanstuurt en de efficiëntie op alle niveaus verhoogt. Als senior leider neem je de leiding over belangrijke operationele processen en ben je de drijvende kracht achter logistieke innovaties.

Wat ga je doen?

In de rol van Director of Logistics neem je de verantwoordelijkheid voor het volledige logistieke proces en de supply chain strategie. Je stelt de koers uit voor zowel de operationele als strategische doelstellingen en zorgt ervoor dat de organisatie efficiënt en kosteneffectief opereert. Jouw kerntaken omvatten:

  • Strategische planning en uitvoering: Je ontwikkelt en implementeert de logistieke strategie en zorgt voor een naadloze distributie en leveringen. Je maakt beslissingen over routes, voorraadbeheer en transportstrategieën.
  • Kostenoptimalisatie en procesverbetering: Je analyseert processen en stelt verbeteringen voor die zowel de kosten verlagen als de efficiëntie verhogen. Je zorgt ervoor dat alle logistieke activiteiten binnen het budget blijven.
  • Innovatie en technologie: Je onderzoekt en implementeert nieuwe technologieën en innovaties die bijdragen aan de optimalisatie van de supply chain. Je houdt de ontwikkelingen in de sector goed bij en past best practices toe.
  • Leiderschap en teamontwikkeling: Je leidt het logistieke team, coacht en motiveert medewerkers om hun volledige potentieel te benutten. Je creëert een cultuur van samenwerking en continue verbetering.
  • Externe samenwerkingen: Je selecteert en beheert de relaties met externe partners en leveranciers. Dit omvat het onderhandelen over contracten en het bewaken van de kwaliteit van hun diensten.
  • Duurzaamheid en compliance: Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het minimaliseren van de ecologische voetafdruk van logistieke operaties en zorgt voor naleving van alle wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van transport en supply chain.

Wie ben jij?

Je hebt ruime ervaring op strategisch niveau en beschikt over de juiste kennis om logistieke processen naar een hoger niveau te tillen. Daarnaast beschik je over:

  • Opleiding: Een relevante academische achtergrond in logistiek, supply chain management, bedrijfskunde of een vergelijkbare richting.
  • Ervaring: Minimaal 10 jaar ervaring in een senior logistieke functie, bij voorkeur binnen een internationale of snelgroeiende organisatie.
  • Vaardigheden: Je hebt diepgaande kennis van logistieke strategieën, supply chain optimalisatie en het aansteken van innovatieve projecten. Je bent ook bedreven in het gebruik van technologieën die de efficiëntie bevorderen.
  • Talen: Vloeiend in Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
  • Leiderschap: Je hebt sterke leiderschapskwaliteiten en weet mensen te inspireren en richting te geven, terwijl je tegelijkertijd gericht blijft op het behalen van resultaten.
