You'll work at the heart of their core systems, supporting the next phase of modernization for their SQL Server environment.Whether you're a freelancer or prefer to join our internal team, this role offers the chance to combine deep technical involvement with strategic influence.You'll guide platform evolution, lead governance and standardization efforts, and serve as a go-to expert for both system-level and development-focused database topics.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign and steer the SQL Server platform across on-prem and cloud environments (Azure SQL)Lead governance initiatives around performance, security, and operational standardsMentor and support DBA colleagues across system and developer specialtiesDrive modernization projects, including large-scale upgrades to SQL Server 2025Resolve complex issues, from infrastructure tuning to application-layer performanceYour Expertise7+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience in business-critical OLTP environmentsStrong knowledge of Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instances, and hybrid architecturesDeep expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and securityConfident in designing and documenting scalable DB solutions (HLD/LLD)Solid T-SQL skills and an understanding of application/database interactionFluent in Dutch or French, good comprehension of EnglishNice to have:Experience with MongoDB, PowerShell, Terraform, or automation pipelinesFamiliarity with tools like Redgate, SQL Sentry, or AppDynamicsCertifications in Azure, SQL Server, or enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF)Why Infocura?Family Feel: We organize at least four team events each year, plus an annual weekend getaway where partners are welcome.Flexible & Hybrid Work: While some client-facing time may be required, we promote a healthy mix of remote and on-site collaboration.Impactful Projects: Contribute to data initiatives for reputable clients where your expertise drives tangible results.Competitive Package: Enjoy market-aligned compensation, plus opportunities for professional development.What Sets Us ApartInfocura is more than a workplace: it's a community of seasoned data experts known for solving the toughest challenges.
