Position Summary

The Clinical Product Specialist is responsible for driving the clinical adoption, utilization, and commercial success of the AirSeal platform across Lap and Robotic accounts. The role serves as the primary clinical and technical expert, supporting surgeons, operating room teams, and sales representatives throughout the customer journey—from evaluation and installation through routine procedural support and utilization growth.


The specialist acts as a trusted advisor, ensuring surgeons achieve optimal clinical outcomes while maximizing the value of AirSeal technology within their practice.


Nature of the role:

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

  • Provide in-operating-room support during AirSeal procedures.
  • Guide surgeons and clinical teams on system functionality, workflow, and best practices.
  • Assist with pre-operative planning and intra-operative execution.
  • Troubleshoot technical and procedural issues during cases.
  • Ensure safe and effective utilization of the AirSeal platform.

Customer Education & Training

  • Deliver training programs for surgeons, residents, nursing staff, Anaesthetists and operating room personnel.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and clinical workshops.
  • Support new customer onboarding and certification processes.
  • Develop long-term relationships with surgeon and Anaesthetists champions and key opinion leaders.

Commercial Support

  • Partner with sales representatives to support account acquisition and utilization growth.
  • Participate in product evaluations and customer presentations.
  • Demonstrate the clinical and economic benefits of robotic-assisted surgery.
  • Support business reviews and utilization planning with hospital stakeholders.

Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate case coverage schedules and clinical support activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and procedural support.
  • Collaborate with field service teams to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Clinical certifications are advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience.
  • Experience supporting procedures in the operating room is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of minimal invasive/Lap procedures is advantageous.

Technical Knowledge

  • Laparoscopic procedures.
  • Operating room workflow and sterile techniques.
  • Robotic-assisted surgery technologies is advantageous.

  • Very good English, French, Dutch.

  • Ability to make decisions quickly in high-pressure operating room environments.
  • Troubleshoots clinical and technical challenges effectively.

  • Understands utilization metrics, procedural economics, and business drivers.
  • Supports revenue growth through increased adoption and customer engagement.
