TL;DR We're hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure that our optimisation platform runs reliably, scales automatically, and deploys continuously. You'll own CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code. You enable our engineering team to ship, test, and operate real-time energy services safely and efficiently. We model complex energy contracts and flexible assets, forecast demand/production, and translate predictions into automated, minute‐by‐minute decisions that move megawatts and money. Bridge software and infrastructure You'll design the backbone that connects our code to the grid, keeping latency low and uptime high. A mission that matters Building resilient infrastructure for real-time energy optimisation directly supports decarbonisation at scale. What you will do Operate and evolve our cloud infrastructure (Azure-based). Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data science and backend services. Set up observability (metrics, logs, traces, dashboards) and define SLOs. Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Support the team in safe rollouts, rollbacks, and on-call readiness. Drive scalability and cost-efficiency improvements across the stack. What we are looking for Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure-as-code. Proficiency with cloud environments (Azure preferred). Scripting in Python or bash. Curiosity about system performance, latency, and reliability. Structured communicator with a problem-solving mindset. Bonus points Familiarity with monitoring stacks. Understanding of streaming/data pipelines (Kafka, Redpanda). Interest in distributed systems or real-time workloads. Experience in energy, trading, or other mission-critical domains.
