We are recruiting an experienced Lead HGV Mechanic / Workshop Manager to head up operations within a busy technical workshop environment for an industry-leading engineering company.This role is responsible for managing people, processes, and resources to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of HGV maintenance and repair services. You will act as the main operational point of contact for customers and play a key role in driving performance and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all HGV maintenance and repair activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high technical standardPlan and allocate workload across supervisors and technicians to meet operational demandsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost controlMonitor and manage workshop KPIs including turnaround time, cost per repair, productivity, and fleet uptimeEnsure compliance with health & safety regulations, quality standards, and internal proceduresAct as the primary operational contact for customers, managing day-to-day communication and expectationsIdentify training needs and support development of supervisors and techniciansMentor, motivate, and lead the workshop team to maintain high performanceManage workshop resources, tooling, and equipmentControl budgets and operational costs, identifying savings opportunitiesLiaise with suppliers and external partnersSupport technical fault-finding and escalation where requiredRequirementsTechnical diploma as a minimum; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering preferredExtensive experience in HGV workshop management, maintenance operations, or senior technical leadershipStrong commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and budgetsProven leadership experience managing supervisors and techniciansExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsFluent in Dutch and EnglishSalary range for this role is €80,000-$100,000.Please contact s.binke@mane.co.uk /+ 44 7393 011 611
