We are looking for a IT Ops Engineer (DevOps & Incident Management) to join our IT team based in our headquarters, Brussels.

Your Mission

Optimy is looking for a talented IT Ops Engineer (DevOps & Incident Management) who would be interested in joining our venture. As a member of the IT Operations Team, you will be at the center of various departments and teams to ease the daily activities of the company.

Responsibilities:

40% Debugging and Internal Collaboration

  • Deep investigation of our code base/logs/database. You should have experience with larger codebases and be able to analyze code effectively.
  • You will often query the database during investigations.
  • Internal collaboration and communication.

25% DevOps

  • Creating/updating environments: CI/CD pipelines, database, crons.
  • Email setup.
  • Renew/create certificates.
  • Enabling features (set up VP or EP).

25% Coding

  • Develop small features in the application.
  • Write scripts, automate internal processes.
  • Create queries on demand for reporting purposes.

10% Checking Customer Development Requests

  • Analysis of the documentation.
  • Declining or approving requests.

Your Profile

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Essential: PHP and SQL.
  • Familiarity: Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Nice to have, not mandatory: AWS and CloudFlare, Kibana.
  • Incident Management: Ability to take ownership of IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Security: Knowledge of IT security principles, best practices, and implementation.
  • Documentation: Proficient in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to provide seamless IT services and resolve issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest proactive solutions to enhance IT operations and user experience.
