Whether it’s short-term operational support or long-term category management, Kronos by EPSA bridges talent and opportunity with precision and purpose.ContextTo support the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Antwerp region, we are looking for an experienced Buyer / Procurement Specialist.In this role, you will support and coordinate procurement activities during both the tender phase and execution phase, working closely with multidisciplinary project teams.Main ResponsibilitiesAs Buyer, you are responsible for ensuring an efficient, timely and cost-effective procurement process, with attention to planning, technical requirements, risk management and QHSES standards.Your key responsibilities include:Independently managing procurement activities within an assigned project scope or sub-areaSupporting and, where applicable, coordinating a small procurement teamManaging the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy definition and RFQs to final contract awardAdvising project teams on procurement-related topics and market insightsWorking closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders (engineering, planning, finance, legal, execution teams)Informing tender and execution teams about market opportunities, constraints and risksConducting meetings with potential subcontractors and suppliersPreparing requests for quotation based on technical and commercial inputComparing and analysing bids from both a financial and technical perspectiveOrganising clarification meetings and leading commercial negotiationsYour ProfileBachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent through relevant experienceProven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within civil or infrastructure constructionStrong understanding of technical, financial and contractual aspects of construction procurementAbility to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within project teamsStructured, analytical and commercially mindedFluent in Dutch (spoken and written)What do we offer you?We don’t just offer a job – we offer a career path.
