In our Advanced Materials division, we are a globally leading manufacturer of high-quality thermoplastic materials in the form of semi-finished products and finished parts. Our engineering plastics and composites are superior to metals and other materials in terms of their performance profile and are used in a variety of applications, primarily in the capital goods industry.

About the role?

Leadership for the manufacturing operations business with 450 employees located at Tielt in Belgium to deliver a sustainable and profitable business with world class standards in all aspects of the operation.

Your responsibilities?Business:
  • Ownership of the site strategy and chairperson of the site leadership team
  • Development and ownership of the operational and capital budgets for the EPP and CMS areas of the site
  • Development and ownership of the Mid Term Plan aimed at delivering the site strategy
  • Agree and deliver the site S&OP plan
  • Member of the Works Committee
Safety, Environment and KAITEKI:
  • Ownership of EHS within the production areas
  • Delivery of the KAITEKI vision 25/30 target for the site and contribute to the EMEA level plan
  • Work with the wider site leadership team to ensure compliance with legal and company EHS and environmental requirements
  • Member of the Committee for Prevention, Safety, Health and Environment
Manufacturing Excellence and Growth:
  • Ownership of the site strategy and leadership of the Tielt team to deliver the MCAM vision for the site
  • Ownership of the MCAM Excellence program on site to deliver world class performance and operational capability; demonstrate this through the use of Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage the delivery of the plant's variable and fixed cost budget to target
  • Participate in cross-company initiatives aimed at growing the capability of the MCAM organization
People:
  • Ensure the site has the correct skilled and knowledgeable people available to support current and foreseeable needs
  • Working in collaboration with the Site HR manager to ensure that all HR policies are enacted across the operational areas
Your qualifications?
  • Industrial Engineering in Electronics and Mechanics or Process Engineering
  • Proven leadership skills within a multifunction environment
  • Highly experienced with a history of high standards married to team development skills and experience in a management role on a similar plant
  • Very high emphasis on standard setting, coaching, organization, thinking and communication skills to lead improvement teams in all aspects of plant operation
  • Ability to create a vision, enhancing performance and leading the change
  • Strong communication skills fluently in English and Dutch
