We support international companies with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation in identifying experienced professionals to strengthen their finance teams. For one of our clients, an international company active in sustainable solutions for industrial sectors (such as energy, transport, marine and mining), we are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Belgian office. This role offers a challenging and hands-on position at the heart of the financial operations of a growing international group. Your responsibilities Act as the internal and external point of contact for all accounts payable and accounts receivable matters Perform controls and postings related to purchases, sales, payroll, rents, bank statements and expense reports, and make the necessary corrections Prepare and review agent commission calculations Monitor and follow up on customer payment schedules Prepare monthly VAT returns Prepare monthly and annual closing files Perform various financial analyses and accounting treatments Play a key role in the monitoring of cash flow and financial movements of the Belgian entity Work closely with other departments, including logistics and operations What's in it for you Permanent contract with an attractive salary package Extra-legal benefits: meal vouchers, eco-cheques, laptop, smartphone 38-hour working week 1 day of remote work per week Strong focus on work-life balance Informal and people-oriented company culture Modern offices in Waterloo Internal and external training opportunities International exposure within a global group Company certified B Corp, with strong sustainability values Your profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Taxation Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an accountant Experience with Belgian GAAP and working environment in Belgium Fluent in French and English Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Able to work autonomously, proactive and hands-on Strong multitasking skills and adaptability Experience with accounting tools such as Exact Online or FileMaker in an Apple environment is a plus
