Job Description:

Are you a technical talent with a passion for the maritime sector? Do you have experience in maintaining and repairing ship engines and other marine installations? Then we are looking for you As a marine mechanic in Zeebrugge, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various ship components. You play a crucial role in ensuring the operational reliability and safety of our vessels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performing preventive maintenance on ship engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other mechanical installations.
2. Diagnosing and resolving mechanical malfunctions and defects.
3. Carrying out repairs and part replacements, both on-site and in the workshop.
4. Collaborating with the technical department to implement improvements and modifications to the installations.
5. Recording completed tasks and reporting findings.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all activities.
7. Participating in emergency services in case of urgent issues.

Qualifications:

1. Completed education as a marine mechanic, mechanical engineer, or equivalent.
2. Experience in maintaining and repairing ship engines and mechanical systems.
3. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical engineering, and ship systems.
4. Ability to work independently, but also function well within a team.
5. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Flexibility and willingness to travel.
7. A maritime background or experience in the shipping industry is a plus.
8. Good command of Dutch or English.
