He aha te mahi? What's the role?

Reporting to the Market Research Manager, Europe and North America, based in Antwerp, supporting Europe (France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands and Italy as core markets along with the UK and Switzerland as key future markets), you will be responsible for understanding consumer, shopper and retail insights, as well tracking performance of the marketing investments. While the focus of the role will be on Europe, there will also be project work and analysis for the US market.

As Market Research Analyst, you will:

  • Support market research projects in the EU to understand consumers, shoppers, and retail insights:
    • design, create intuitive data visualizations using Power BI dashboards to create better insights for different stakeholders (Marketing & sales teams)
    • track and analyze performance of in-store executions, shopper behavior, brand performance, and media investments across the region
  • Capture the trends of category, channel, competition in EU to address Growth team's priorities and ambitions
  • Consolidate, manage and translate Zespri's existing data into presentations to make research more actionable
  • Build relationships with the marketing, sales and strategy teams including active participation in stakeholder meetings
  • Support for global market research projects – involves planning & organizing local market research projects with the global research partner, including annual consolidation of global topics
  • Collaborate with Research Partners (e.g. Kantar, GfK, Nielsen, etc) to support research needs
  • Projects and analysis for the US market

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 3 years' experience in commissioning and/or managing market research in a FMCG, pharma company, retail marketing/research environment.

You will also have:

  • Excellent analytical skills, independent thinking
  • Excellent skills to visualize insights for presentations of stakeholders
  • Experience with consumer (Gfk/Kantar) and retail panels (IRI, Nielsen) is a plus
  • Knowledge of analytics tools (Excel, Python, or R) and visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) is a plus
  • Results and detail oriented, a positive team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Quick learner and understands the commercial implications of market research
  • Proactive to learn and has a growth mindset
  • Fluent communication in English
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication and data visualization skills to interact effectively with both non-technical and technical users at all levels of the organization
  • BA or BS in business, market research, social research, or related field; a Master's degree is advantageous
