What is the objective of your role?

As a Legal Advisor , you provide legal support to our various activities and Business Units and actively contribute to the management of legal and contractual risks within Cegelec Fire Solutions. You will report to our Managing Director.

You will primarily be involved in drafting, analyzing, and negotiating contracts, and you will advise our operational and commercial teams on their cases. Your objective is to propose pragmatic legal solutions that protect the company's interests while taking into account operational realities and business needs.

You will work under the supervision of our Legal Director and collaborate closely with the network of legal professionals at VINCI Energies Belgium Building Solutions . This will give you the opportunity to share your knowledge, experience, and best practices in a structured and collaborative legal environment.

What are your responsibilities?

  • You draft, analyze, and negotiate contracts with our clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • You adapt contracts to legal requirements and Group guidelines in order to manage risks while identifying business opportunities.
  • You advise and support operational and commercial teams through the various stages of the contracting process.
  • You draft business-related legal templates and documents and ensure they are regularly updated.
  • You monitor contract execution and provide support in the management of any potential disputes.
  • You work in particular on construction contracts, temporary partnerships (joint ventures), and public procurement.
  • You monitor relevant legislation, particularly in the areas of public procurement, economic law, and the law of obligations, and draft notes and reports on these topics.
  • Along with your legal colleagues, you develop and organize internal legal training sessions to raise awareness among our teams regarding key legal risks and best practices.
  • You support the organization in complying with the ethics and compliance rules applied by the VINCI Group.
  • You contribute to the improvement and digitalization of legal processes, notably through the relevant use of AI tools .
  • You build a relationship of trust with the various teams and position yourself as a true legal business partner .

What do we expect from you?

  • You hold a Master's degree in Law and preferably have 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate and contract law, for example gained at a reputable Belgian or international law firm or in an in-house legal role.
  • Experience in construction law and/or public procurement is a significant asset.
  • Experience as in-house counsel is also an advantage.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are able to translate complex legal issues into concrete, pragmatic and business-oriented solutions.
  • You have experience analysing, drafting and amending contracts and possess strong negotiation skills.
  • You are comfortable with digital tools and are interested in the use of artificial intelligence in a legal context.
  • You work independently, proactively and accurately and have a strong customer- and solution-oriented mindset.
  • You have excellent communication skills and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders across the organisation.
  • You perform well under pressure and are able to manage multiple matters and priorities simultaneously.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel occasionally to our various locations.
  • You are Dutch-speaking; a good command of French and/or English is an asset.
