As the organisation continues to expand, they are seeking a Network & Security Engineer to support the setup, maintenance, and security of their office network infrastructure across multiple locations.Role Overview:The Network & Security Engineer will play a hands-on role in establishing and maintaining the company’s office networks, supporting Linux-based environments, and ensuring secure, stable operations across two new office sites in Hasselt. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys a mix of technical configuration, on-site setup, and close collaboration with engineering teams and external contractors.Key Responsibilities:Set up, configure, and maintain office network infrastructureAssist with server setup and general systems configurationProvide oversight & support to handymen during physical installations, including wiring, cabling, and hardware placementManage and monitor firewalls, VLANs, and overall network securitySupport Linux-based environments and troubleshoot network or connectivity issuesCollaborate with contractors and internal teams to support the rollout of two new Hasselt office locationsEnsure network reliability, documentation, and operational best practicesRequired Qualifications & Experience:Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (mandatory requirement)Strong experience working in Linux environmentsSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, VLANs, and basic network security protocolsComfortable working hands-on in an on-site environmentStrong communication skills and fluency in EnglishAbility to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience supporting multi-site office setupsFamiliarity with embedded systems, FPGA, RF, or software engineering environments is a plusCareer Development:The company places strong emphasis on internal growth and supports employees who wish to develop into new technical areas.
