In the spirit of ongoing growth, we are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for Clinical Research.


You will assist the Business Development Managers in expanding the Clinical Research client base. Your tasks will involve identifying new prospecting opportunities, reaching out to understand their development needs, and collaborating closely with the Business Development Managers to create a plan for increased new account penetration. Your responsibilities also include actively sourcing and contacting new accounts, scheduling meetings for the Business Development Managers, and contributing to the growth of the client base and sales pipeline health.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales methodology and strategy for boosting new account penetration
  • Initiate outbound and respond to inbound sales calls, qualify leads, reach out to potential clients, and schedule meetings for the Business Development Managers
  • Maintain regular email and phone contact with potential clients to nurture business relationships
  • Generate client interest in SGS webinars, company updates, and conferences
  • Keep the CRM database updated with all sales activities
  • Participate in internal business development calls and meetings to discuss new opportunities and the overall sales pipeline
  • Provide insights on key competitors
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Development Managers from other SGS Health & Nutrition business units to highlight potential opportunities
  • Utilize Social Selling techniques and tools to engage clients through digital channels with information sharing

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the life science field is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant inside sales experience
  • Familiarity with the drug development process is advantageous
  • Proficiency in CRM software usage
  • Detail-oriented and persistent with strong organizational abilities
  • Fluency in English and Dutch languages
