Master of Laws with approximately 3 years of relevant experience as a lawyer in a real estate practice or as an in-house counsel, preferably in the development or broader real estate industry. You have a good knowledge of English (good knowledge of French is a major additional asset).

- You work closely with and provide legal advice to the other LIFE departments such as finance, development and HR;
- You handle all legal disputes as first point of contact, with our external lawyers;
- You like the combination of doing your own legal research and coordinating with our external lawyers;
- You prepare and review agreements such as rental agreements, construction agreements, purchase agreements and deeds, non-disclosure agreements...;
- You manage the insurances of our projects, companies and directors;
- You keep the corporate housekeeping of LIFE NV and its subsidiaries (project companies) up-to-date, including UBO, AML...;
- You will our portfolio of brands with the assistance of our trademark agency;
- You keep our GDPR compliance up-to-date;
- You keep good relations with our external partners (notaries, lawyers, banks, joint-venture partners...);
- You report to our chief legal officer, whose door is always open for advice.
- Graduated as a Master of Laws and have approximately 3 years of relevant experience as a lawyer in a real estate practice or as an in-house counsel, preferably in the development or broader real estate industry;
- Have a good knowledge of and experience in real estate law, contract law, liability law and company law;
- Independent, proactive and motivated;
- Good at finding the right balance between legal accuracy and pragmatism;
- Highly communicative and a team player;
- Efficient, precise and structured;
- Stress resistant and able to work at a high pace;
- Have a good knowledge of English (good knowledge of French is a major additional asset);
- Interested in a role of legal counsel, working in a close knit team with our chief legal officer.
