Context

Within our business unit Degroof Petercam Asset Management we are passionate about managing funds and exercising mandates on behalf of institutional end-investors as well as distribution partners (private banks, insurance companies and retail networks. For reinforcing our teams, we are looking for a Sovereign Analyst Developed Markets.

Your Position

• Working in close relationship with the European and global government bond portfolio managers

:

• Analysing sovereign and quasisovereign bond issuers from Developed Markets from a bottomup perspective;
• Conduct relative value analysis, generate trade ideas, and adhoc research related to current market topics;
• Support development and maintenance of quantitative & market screening tools;
• Collaborate with other debt, equity and data analysts and portfolio managers;
• Meet with clients and prospects to discuss coverage themes and outlooks;
• Coordinating and attending business trips in covered areas;

Your Profile

:

• 3+ years of relevant analyst experience in Sovereign Debt Markets required.
• Comprehensive understanding of macroeconomic concepts and debt dynamics, including other factors that drive bond market performance, including central banks analysis, political analysis, etc.
• Understanding of factors that drive sovereign credit spreads;
• Understanding of capital debt markets and portfolio management concepts;
• Strong technical skills. Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg. Programming skills in Python, VBA or SQL are a plus;
• Proactive personality, ability to work independently and multitask;
• Fluent in English required, working knowledge of other globally important languages is a plus.
