The Senior Cloud Technical Architect is responsible for designing and potentially implementing intricate cloud-based solutions that align with clients' business and technical needs. This role supports and influences sales teams by offering deep expertise in cloud computing technologies and architectures to ensure the efficient design, deployment, and operation of our cloud-based systems to meet client requirements.
Working at NTTKey Roles and Responsibilities:- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and transform them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, ensuring that technical solutions achieve client objectives.
- Design and architect cloud-based systems for high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Provide pre-sales technical support to analyse client needs and existing collaboration capabilities.
- Assess current systems and devise migration strategies for transitioning on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
- Create integration solutions for seamless data flow between cloud and on-premises environments.
- Establish security best practices and compliance standards for cloud-based systems.
- Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Offer guidance and assistance to development teams to ensure compliance with cloud architecture standards and best practices.
- Produce technical design documents aligned with solution design specifications.
- Participate in determining scope of work, product pricing, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Assist in decision-making on outsourcing, product pricing, and collaborate on implementation solutions.
- Provide guidance to Sales team members, equip them to close deals, and monitor forecasting and sales pipeline to influence potential deals.
- Oversee client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, coordinating required resources for POC setup and delivery.
- Take ownership of proposed solutions on all assigned engagements and transition implementation to the delivery team.
- Act as a cloud technologies and architectures subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- In relation to opportunity pursuit, evaluate opportunities, prepare technology solutions, pricing, and engage necessary resources for solution design and delivery.
- Prepare network diagrams and document deliverables for successful completion.
- Review proposal accuracy and present final documents to clients.
- Assist during final client presentations as required.
- Demonstrate strong client engagement skills.
- Understand vendor's products business and technology positioning.
- Show technical consulting aptitude.
- Possess excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to their success.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, containers, and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies such as virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and load balancing.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with IaC tools and frameworks like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts, VPNs, VPC peering, and hybrid connectivity options.
- Track record in cloud storage solutions and various database options.
- Understanding of cloud monitoring tools and DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of integration technologies and key vendor subscription models.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc).
- Vendor product, sales, and technology certifications.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.
- Extensive professional technical experience in a large-scale technology services environment.
- Experience as a Cloud Technical Architect or similar role, designing and implementing cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Project management and serverless computing experience.
- Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools for cloud resource management.
