Edmac Europe is an ambitious customer-driven company, which is selling parts, lubricants and consumables for compressors with customers from across the world.

As part of an industry leader within this market, our objective is to be the one-stop-shop for all organizations who want to procure parts, consumables, or lubricants for compressors.

Our customers are mostly small to medium sized companies, which are in more than 90 different countries around the world.

To further support our growth, we are currently looking for a Global Strategic Purchaser.

Function:


As a Global Strategic Purchaser, you are really at the heart of the organization by being in direct contact with our suppliers as well as all internal departments.

Overall, you will have a wide variety of responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for across all Edmac entities (Europe, USA, China, India, and Australia)
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers globally, negotiating favorable terms and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers worldwide, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, lead time and quality standards.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capabilities, leveraging insights to drive informed decisionmaking.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, conducting regular evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, implementing best practices, and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation, while maintaining product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement robust procurement processes and systems, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, transparency, and datadriven decisionmaking.
As a Global Strategic Purchaser, you will be part of our Operations team.

Requirements:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and result-driven, no-nonsense professional who is thorough, analytical, methodical, confident and decisive.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are critical to this role, as well as a strong drive to use your initiative.


  • 5 years of experience in purchasing
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business administration
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with ERP systems is a major advantage.
  • Result oriented.
  • A good communicator, external as well as internal
  • Strong in follow up and administration creative in finding solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is a must. Dutch is seen as a major advantage.
