JOB BRIEF

Weerts Group is looking to strengthen its legal team with a motivated and polyvalent (junior or mid-level) Legal Counsel, predominantly for the (logistics) real estate activities.

The ideal candidate will have acquired a first professional experience in a leading law firm, public notary office or reputable (real estate) company. He/she will be involved in various real estate related matters and agreements (real estate sale and purchase deeds, share purchase agreements, lease agreements, construction contracts, etc...) and potentially other commercial contracts in relation to the logistics and energy business of the group. He/she will be part of a small team of seasoned legal professionals.

This position will be based in Liège (BE) and/or Luxembourg (LU).

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position you will work very closely with the more senior members of the legal team. Taking the initiative is highly valued. Depending on your skills, experience and commitment, you can give your own interpretation of your tasks in accordance with the Group's needs.

As a Legal Counsel, you would be required to work (predominantly but not only) on following tasks:

• Assist in drafting and negotiating various real estate and commercial contracts;
• Contract management;
• Supporting the commercial and technical teams on the legal documentation related to projects and transactions;
• Assisting the legal team in real estate transactions;
• Ensuring the administrative and IT organization of the Group's legal documentation.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED - YOUR PROFILE

• Master's degree in law with good academic credentials,
• Some professional experience, ideally in the real estate sector,
• International exposure would be considered as a plus,
• Well-organized and detail-oriented,
• Ability to multi-task, to work under tight deadlines and to take responsibility,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English and ideally also in French.
• Positive attitude, integrity & honesty, team player.
