ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired is seeking to appoint a Director of Sport and Head of Physical Education to join St John's International School in August 2024
on a Full-Time basis
.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a qualified Physical Education teacher and a leader for our sports provision, you will be a fluent English speaker, familiar with the International Baccalaureate Programme, an advocate for sport, and confident working with students from diverse backgrounds. You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology, as well as someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you'll be wellorganised, have a solutionsoriented mindset and will want to participate fully in the extracurricular and pastoral aspects of school life.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Ability to set clear expectations and stretching goals.
- Adaptable teaching style, incorporating feedback.
- Ability to judge learning effectiveness.
- Excellent preparation and planning.
- Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance.
- Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare
- Background in PHE teaching and sport leadership.
- Expectation of at least five years' experience with students.
- Demonstrated contributions to a positive school environment.
- High level of technology skills and integration of technology into the classroom.
- Demonstrates educational leadership and is a role model to faculty and staff.
- Develops a collegial, collaborative and positive atmosphere amongst the faculty and across the community.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
- Is a lifelong learner.
