About the Job opening:

Are you a real networker? Can you provide a good customer service to your existing customer portfolio (Account Management/Farming) and can you look for new customers and markets (Business Development/Hunting)?

About the Job:

As Sales manager, you will join an innovative player in the port of Antwerp. Traditionally a family business and now part of a global player in the chemical industry.

You will join an informal team with an excellent team spirit, short lines of communication and consisting of specialists who are all proud of their work.

Together with your colleagues, you dedicate yourself daily to the safety and health of our customers, people and the world.

Your tasks include account management with a basic customer portfolio. You manage several customers, focusing on the commercial relationship and managing the quality of our services. You build long-term partnerships with our clients, thinking along with your client, leaving no opportunity unused. You ensure that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations. You negotiate all contracts yourself and take care of the crucial needs of all your clients. You also monitor our customers' satisfaction through a "customer satisfaction query" and build an action plan on this.

In addition, you will help build the business development plan.

This means you will network and look for commercial leads in well-considered markets or niches for opportunities in pest control/fumigation/CO2 treatments or gas measurements.

With the Sales team you also go on trade shows where you are the ambassador of Descroes. You guide the prospects through our various service packages. You look for new business in markets we have not yet exploited.

Together with your sales colleagues of the Dutch partner company, you ensure further growth of both Descroes and the Intreso/Draslovka group.


Your profile:

We are looking for someone who feels at home in an informal, dynamic environment and is stress-resistant.

You find it a challenge to fulfill your tasks independently, but can also work very well in a team.

You have strong networking skills and are a fluent communicator.

You have strong commercial insights and can keep the focus on "customer intimacy".

You communicate your message convincingly, act decisively and give high priority to safety.

you have at least:

  • Minimum a Bachelor degree preferably in an economic or Chemical field;
  • 3 years of experience in a sales role in a service sector (e.g. pest control/logistics/warehousing/cleaning/...);
  • Strong analytical ability and can maintain a helicopter view;
  • Perfect language skills in Dutch AND English is a must, knowledge of French is a strong plus, any other language is an surplus;
  • Strong set of negotiation skills;
  • Good knowledge of financial analysis.
