The Commercial Manager leads and takes responsibility for the commercial & marketing activities for the ZEISS product portfolio in the Belgium market. Together with your sales and marketing colleagues you manage to achieve the growth and the annual revenue and profit targets. You develop new challenging revenue plans and create a long-term strategy for marketing. The team who directly reports to you in Belgium consists of 12 employees. In this function you report directly to the Head of Vision Care BeNe.

How does your day look like?

You will develop sales and marketing strategies for ZEISS spectacle lenses, ZEISS diagnostic instruments and ZEISS lens cleaning solutions; You will ensure the recruitment, training and career development of your team. You will empower them to make sure that they act as one team; Next to this you are responsible for developing programs to improve and measure customer satisfaction and for maintaining applicable processes and procedures; You play an active role in the field by building and sustaining strong relationships with Key Customers and actively participates in industry relevant networks; Leading the sales team and monitoring within Salesforce the opportunity pipeline of all customer leads; You collaborate closely with Customer Care and Finance to ensure an optimal support; You build strong relationships with international stakeholders including but not limited to your peers from other countries as well as the colleagues from the Head office in Germany In this role you are a part of the Extended Management Team of the Benelux and you are in close contact with the Head of global sales Vision Care.

What do we expect from you?

You are an experienced business leader with a Master degree. You have gained good understanding of and experience in the world of optics, preferably with some B2B background. You have at least 10 years of experience within optics. Proven management experience in leading sales teams and coordinating the marketing department. You have a good business understanding on a general level with interest in the strategic, financial and organizational aspects. You have developed strong peoplemanagement and motivational skills. Next to this you have exceptional negotiating and diplomacy skills. We are working in a dynamic international environment, so you are comfortable with working in a high-tech organization and you speak Dutch, English and French.
