Position Summary:
The Procurement Specialist role will be implementing procurement and sourcing activities, as well as managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Carry out procurement and sourcing activities for assigned chemicals, covering three manufacturing facilities in Europe
- Align with key partners to enable an effective sourcing of materials and suppliers globally developing and running RFx events
- Run basic cost and scenario analysis to analyze supplier bids to award business in line with established procedures
- Ensure supply security and sourcing of quality materials at the best cost while mitigating the risks of single/sole source, cost inflation and delivery delay
- Develop and improve supplier relationships
- Take part in cross functional continuous improvement work using PPI methodology
- Maintain alignment and clear communication with Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management and Business Unit teams
- Implement short- and long-term sourcing plans to mitigate risks
- Support supplier qualification process to source and qualify new suppliers globally
- Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or other relevant field
- Minimum of 3 experience in a procurement / sourcing function
- High level of English language proficiency (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier management
- Knowledge of procurement spend analysis, sourcing, supplier, contract management systems and ERP
- Experience in chemicals procurement, sourcing or supply chain management preferred
- Knack to build positive relationships, influence others, and work in tight-knit collaboration with partners across multiple locations
- Developed interpersonal approach to work in an inclusive environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work hard, prioritize and run multiple projects
