Our client offers analytical R&D services to biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies.
Driven by their passion for analytics they support clients through all phases of their product's lifecycle: from early lead selection, throughout clinical research and during commercial activities. Their involvement creates an effective learning platform for their molecules and ensures our clients have the right analytical tools and data available at the right time.
In the context of our continued growth, the team is looking for a: (full-time) Team Lead – Senior Scientist Mass Spectrometry with protein experience & a big heart for science.
You will be part of a privately-owned and ambitious organization at the forefront of scientific evolutions You will have a position with responsibility and opportunities to support your professional growth You will join a dynamic team in an international environmentkey responsibilities You manage and support the projects within the protein MS team You coach and assist team members in LC-MS based protein characterization and ensure adequate reporting to the high company standard You scope new projects together with the customer and the commercial team You interact with your team to ensure proper project planning and execution You are responsible for training of new team members You develop and apply innovative LC-MS methodologies for in-depth protein characterization at various development stages You handle complex and scientifically challenging projects for our industrial (e.g. biotech and pharma) and academic partners
qualifications THIS IS YOU... #yeswecan #winningteam #magichands #brilliantmind LC-MS enthusiast who loves to make molecular elephants fly and knows how to crack the structural code of mAbs, bispecifics, ADCs, fusion proteins, enzymes, ... In-depth scientific understanding of protein LC-MS (top-down, middle-down and bottom-up analysis) Hands-on experience with LC-MS data processing and structural characterization of proteins Good knowledge of protein chemistry and protein separations Proven method development skills Demonstrated experience in coaching and leading a team of experts Critical mindset and good sense for initiative and attention to quality and detail Flexible team player and customer-oriented problem solver Great communicator with excellent writing/reporting skills Able to multitask and tackle complex scientific questions in a largely independent manner Comfortable interacting with customers (discussing requests, finetuning scope, presenting results) Dedicated to achieving project goals within scope, time and budget Fluent in English (written & oral) Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or equivalent qualification due to experience A minimum of 8 years expertise in the field
