The Global Meeting Services provides data support and services covering markets worldwide including US, Canada, UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific.
The team continuously monitors and obtains relevant information on all upcoming corporate action events specifically shareholders meetings where topics such as acquisitions, mergers and demergers, election of directors and auditors might be discussed.
The relevant meeting results are also collected. The information collected is accurately inputted in the database and this will be generated for clients to see.Collected information is also used by other teams for further data collection and research for the ultimate issuance of ISS Vote Recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The GMS Junior Analyst position is accountable for:
- Identifying, understanding, and implementing daily monitoring of market regulatory sources for meeting information
- Translate to English and timely creation of meeting in the ISS' proprietary database by capturing relevant datapoints and ascertaining votable securities and saving meeting documents.
- Analyze agenda items and harmonize them into the ISS standard code list.
- Collection and accurate entry of vote results for every meeting covered when disclosed as per defined market regulations.
- Review and respond to internal enquiries related to meeting coverage for the market in a timely manner.
- Responsible for distribution, monitoring, and update of various workloads.
- Responsible for keeping uptodate assigned market profiles, process manuals at regular intervals while also tracking updates to market regulations and voting mechanics.
- Participate in various working committees and/or projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or any equivalent/related course
- Verbal and written fluency in Hebrew and English
- Strong communication skills with knowledge and experience in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
- Ability to utilize critical thinking to solve problems independently and accurately
- Ability to work within a teamoriented environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment under tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work the extended hours on weekdays, holidays and on weekend as needed during market season
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Willing for 5day onsite work for the first 2 months during the training period. Afterwards, should be open for a hybrid work setup. Further details will be discussed during the interviews.
HELPFUL STRENGTHS
- Understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions and capital markets is a plus
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages, SQL / DAX to assist with creation of reporting queries and KPI metrics
- Verbal and written fluency in additional languages in addition to Hebrew and English
