Job Description:
The Marketing Manager Performance Tapes Europe is responsible for the product management marketing organization in Performance Tapes Europe. You will be part of the commercial leadership team and report to the Sr. Director Commercial Performance Tapes Europe. In this role you will play a key role in standardizing and incorporating best practice to our product management function to support acceleration of the profitable growth and development of long term product roadmaps for the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive excellence in execution to lead nearterm profitable growth results and performance and prepare for the future
- Develop strategic and annual operating plans and lead efforts of a crossfunctional team to meet evolving customer and market needs.
- Achieve efficiency, productivity improvement and standardization of product management activities across our five solutions segments (Building & Construction, Automotive, General Industry, Personal Care and Medical Tapes)
- Manage all aspects of new product introductions, product reengineering and cost out, product promotion as well as training, sales tools and communication of product and service programs.
- Support the execution of a portfolio management approach to optimize growth and profitability incorporating best practices and processes.
- Manage, coach and develop the team product management team. Perform general management responsibilities, i.e., performance appraisals, training and development, setting team and individual goals, ensuring completion and compliance
- Support and enhance the Commercial strategy to deliver profitable growth and lead product management related projects
- Develop and execute appropriate business plans to identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage and new ideas for products, processes and services
- Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals and long term product roadmaps that create competitive advantage and deliver profitable growth
- Develop & implement pricing strategies to maximize product line growth & profitability.
- Close collaboration with sales, business development, key account management and customer service
- Plan and prioritize resources and operational challenges
- Act as a role model for the Avery Dennison Code of Conduct of business ethics and values
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years business experience, emphasizing product marketing desired. Managerial or related experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills. Crisp and pragmatic.
- Possess leadership, mentoring, training and project management experience and skills
- Strong presentation experience and skills required
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Strong teamwork and relationship building skills
- Strong customer focus and orientation
