Within our Belgian HR organization, an opportunity has become available for a Head of Talent & Learning.

The purpose of the role is to enable the delivery of the People Vision through closely collaborating and working with the HR Business Partners and People Services and to create a positive business impact within ING Belgium & Luxembourg through enhancing leadership capabilities and driving strategic people decisions, such as talent and succession planning and people development. You will lead a team of 5 Talent & Learning Experts and oversee the Talent & Learning team of Luxembourg.

The role reports hierarchically to the People Officer BeLux and functionally to the Global Head of Talent & Learning. The role will be part of the Belgian HR Leadership team and assures close collaboration with the functional HR line. The role is based in Brussels.

Your key responsibilities

ING's Talent & Learning team enables ING's business strategy by facilitating the development of our people and leaders, ensuring they - and ING - are resilient and future-proof. We focus on delivering a truly engaging, employee-focused career offer for all our people, plus targeted development for key talent segments and create solutions to upskill and reskill as our business evolves. As Head of Talent & Learning you will have a close collaboration with the global Talent & Learning team which operates based on three pillars: Talent & Leadership; Growth & Careers; Diversity Inclusion & Belonging.

You'll be a key leader within the HR Leadership team, giving you the opportunity to partner closely with business leaders, drive end-to-end talent strategies and influence practices to help our people grow along with our business.

Talent Management & Leadership Development

·Implement bank wide yearly Talent Reviews in partnership with the business to build and enhance the leadership bench strength across ING:

üown the creation and evaluation of talent data as input to talent reviews.

üprepare and facilitate senior team talent identification and succession sessions.

ümonitor progress against agreed goals and indicators.

·Implement global leadership development programs to cultivate a pipeline of future leaders.

·Ensure that all emerging leaders have sharp development plans and clear experience maps to accelerate their growth and personal development. Partner with leaders on succession development to ensure continuity in key roles.

·Equip people leaders with the skills, tools and data they need to drive data-informed talent decisions.

·Translate Belgium and Luxembourg business strategies and priorities into talent and skilldevelopment plans. Set clear, measurable and data-driven talent and skill development priorities and drive efficient operational implementation of approaches to address these priorities.

·Act as a strategic business partner, thought leader and adviser on all Talent & Learning matters to the Exco, HR Leadership Team and HRBP community in Belgium and Luxembourg. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven analysis.

·Integrate strategies to interrupt bias in talent identification, development and succession, to support greater diversity, representation and inclusion in leadership roles.

Learning and Development

·Implement global learning programs with excellence, ensuring application and follow up. On a limited basis, design or procure specific learning programs or products for Belgium or Luxembourg, based on rigorous needs analysis.

·Drive continuous improvement and influence towards a culture of learning which encourages and promotes learning.

Diversity & Inclusion

·Lead the development and execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

·Establish metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion efforts.

·Foster a culture of belonging through awareness campaigns, employee resource groups, and targeted initiatives.

Other

·Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to talent management, learning, and diversity & inclusion.

·Prepare and present regular reports on key talent metrics, learning outcomes, and diversity initiatives to senior leadership.

·Oversee Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding area and ensure Talent strategy is embedded and reflected in the key initiatives and on-going projects.

·Drive career development tools, upskilling/reskilling initiatives and other strategic initiatives to drive overall company engagement and retention.

How to succeed?

·8+ years of experience in end-to-end development and implementation of Talent Management processes in global matrix organizations, with proven business impact.

·Proven experience with developing and implementing enterprise-wide talent management practices, from design to frameworks and tools to systems and processes; tenacious focus on continuous improvement.

·Outside looking mindset: closely following trends and innovations in and outside the financial industry as well as throughout the area of expertise.

·Affinity with numbers and data and a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building better people solutions.

·Ability to build a broad network of productive and strong working relationships and influence constructively at all levels of the organisation.

·Project and/or program management skills that enable translating a vision into a tangible delivery plan that leads to impactful learning solutions.

·Excellent written and orally communication skills in order to bring a compelling story and engage stakeholders on new or existing people solutions.

·You will have a master's degree level working/thinking capacity.

·Ideally, you will have had work experience in an international setting with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Talent & Learning field.
