As a Platform DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for enhancing team applications and processes, working in an agile environment, and delivering valuable outcomes that contribute to improving the team, processes, and applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver all DevOps-related aspects to team applications and services
  • Guide and assist the team in applying DevOps principles and practices
  • Implement CI/CD methodologies for existing and new applications and services
  • Enhance team knowledge on pipelines and automated processes
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment
  • Write Infrastructure as Code
  • Oversee pipelines and deployments
  • Explore, document, and propose innovative solutions to advance the team, applications, and services
  • Enhance team knowledge in areas where you are an expert

Required Experience for Consideration

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of development experience in any language
  • 2+ years of experience in infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • 2+ years of experience automating Cloud-based applications and services
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Proficiency in Linux, containerization, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Experience translating requirements into designs and automated workflows with development teams
  • Proficiency in shell scripting languages like Python and Bash
  • Experience with containerization, container orchestration, and Database technologies
  • Basic knowledge of networking and protocols
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tech stacks
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration
  • Effective prioritization and organization of work tasks
  • Clear and precise documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Assertive and open to expressing opinions and ideas

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working on agile teams for iterative software delivery
  • Experience with Agile Lifecycle tools like Confluence, JIRA, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience in application design and architecture
  • Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog and Splunk
  • Experience in the fuel business and transaction processing
  • Experience with Multi-cloud solutions and various compliance types
  • Cloud Certifications, preferably AWS Architect
