What is ABY?

You will become part of the Operations department and will report to the COO of ABY.
How does a regular day look like as Risk and Controls Manager?
You will roll out and oversee the practice and further development of the House of HR Group governance and enterprise risk management program within ABY Group.
Your main objectives and tasks of this program are to:
- Apply the detailed risk management methodology appropriate to the local needs and help them to implement and to maintain it;
- Communicate and advice Boutiques on the use of risk management and internal controls techniques;
- Follow up on the internal audit plan executed by the designated audit firm and act as main contact person for internal audit activities within the local company liaison with process owners, organization kick-off and/or closing meeting,...);
- Collect data and report the local KRI dashboard according to the reporting planning and report major incidents whenever applicable;
- Implement and follow up on group insurance programs to optimize coverage and to mitigate risks;
- Animate (local) risk and internal audit meetings and act as a facilitator with the House of HR Group;
Key responsibilities include
- Implement and support the overall risk management processes within all of the Boutiques of the ABY Group;
- Coordinate and follow-up the audit plan execution throughout the ABY Group;
- Manage projects in order to further design and develop the enterprise risk management program;
- Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company.
In your role as Risk and Controls Manager, we expect you to manage execution of these tasks and responsibilities independently, with support of the COO. However, you will also need to coordinate and work closely together with colleagues from other departments and entities (including House of HR Group).
Who you are
- Master or other relevant advanced management degree or diploma in Business Management, Engineering, Finance, Risk Management, Internal Audit or related field;
- At least 5 years proven track record of experience in risk management, internal control and/or internal audit;
- Ability to operate effectively in a cross-cultural environment;
- You speak French and Dutch fluently
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products;
- Willing to learn and contribute in areas beyond formal job description.
