Nokia's People organization is responsible for leading a business-driven people strategy and offering people and workplace services to all Nokia employees.
Developing regression test framework for vOMCI Virtualized Network Function:
Introducing the state-of-the-art SDN (Software-Defined Network) technology in Nokia's network systems results in new microservices, such as vOMCI (Virtual ONU Management Control Interface).
These services are deployed on cloud and create a digital twin of real-world network devices, such as fiber optic modems.
These virtual devices simulate the functionalities of real devices and can be configured and monitored in a very user-friendlier manner.
Additionally, since software functions control the network, new services and features can be introduced easily and network routines can be automated and adapted flexibly.
During this internship position, the following activities will be done:- Add a new feature in onu-simulator for recording and processing received OMCI messages
- Developing a datadriven framework for testing translations done in vOMCI
- Identifying some basic ONU configurations, their corresponding YANG configurations, and their corresponding OMCI messages
- Identifying some basic ONU alarms, their corresponding OMCI messages, and their corresponding YANG notifications
Your skills and experience
We are looking for students that are studying in one of the following Masters:
- Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Master of Science in de industriele wetenschappen : electronica & ICT
- Master of Science in de industriele wetenschappen : informatica
