To strengthen our Passenger Aviation department, we are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Team).

As a Senior Business Analyst, your role involves translating the company's strategy into the necessary changes to achieve the strategy. You are an expert in both business processes and the IT application landscape, acting as a responsible bridge between Business Line Owners and ICT services.

The Airport ICT department encompasses all IT services required to keep the airport running safely and efficiently 24/7.

The Business Analyst is responsible for translating strategic objectives into concrete initiatives and overseeing these initiatives. The focus of this role is on strategic thinking and the reinvestment cycle of both business processes and ICT technology.

In addition to the strategic translation into concrete initiatives, the Business Analyst is also expected to undertake typical business analysis tasks such as gathering business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements, drafting specifications, writing and monitoring tests, facilitating go-live, and working on continuous improvements post-implementation.

The Business Analyst acts as a key stakeholder and single point of contact throughout the end-to-end project life cycle.

What you'll achieve with us:

Think

  • Supporting business stakeholders at the management level in translating their needs into concrete initiatives
  • Ensuring alignment between potential initiatives and the business architecture
  • Translating strategic business developments into tangible projects
  • Conducting impact analyses on processes, organization, and applications alongside presenting possible solution alternatives
  • Analyzing the impact of phasing out ICT solutions on the business architecture
  • Translating business needs into high-level IT requirements, further detailed by functional analysts

Build

  • Documenting for end users (e.g. process descriptions, training materials)
  • Taking on project management responsibilities where project size permits efficient handling, monitoring the translation of requirements into technical solutions
  • Supporting test teams in preparation for the acceptance of new or modified ICT applications and solutions
  • Assisting change managers, change agents, and end-users during deployments
  • Contributing to the creation of SLAs/OLAs
  • Training trainers on efficient use of procedures & systems and providing data for user manuals

Run

  • Active post-go-live support including identifying further potential enhancements
  • Building sufficient technical knowledge around the applications within your domain

Contribution to business architecture evolution

  • Supporting the business architecture team in promoting best practices
  • Keeping up with ICT and business trends through seminars and training sessions and acquiring knowledge on new technological advancements, modern analysis techniques, and developments in the aviation industry

What sets you apart:

  • Holding a master's degree or equivalent through experience
  • Having at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a business analyst with a proven track record in complex environments
  • Possessing common ICT and business process analysis methods and having in-depth knowledge of critical business processes
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking skills with an eye for opportunities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and proposing improvement suggestions
  • Solid project management knowledge
  • Being a good communicator who engages smoothly with various stakeholders
  • Being pragmatic, proactive, customer- and result-oriented
  • Proficiency in Dutch or French, with good passive knowledge of the second national language and a strong command of English
  • Good knowledge of Geographic Information Systems
  • Experience with ESRI GIS software and familiarity with CAD and BIM software
