H2 Storage and Transport Lead Technology Officer


You will have an impressive opportunity to deep dive in the technical topics that will provide the path to the solution and to support the Flexible Generation and Retail Global Business Unit (H2 projects) development and execution-team across the world.

The H2 projects under responsibility of Flexible Generation and Retail Global Business Unit are large scale hydrogen production projects targeting industrial users and/or heavy duty mobility (maritime sector, rail or aviation)

Objective:
Provide technical expertise and support to the projects on the hydrogen transport and storage parts of the value chain.


The H2 Storage and Transport Lead Technology Expert reports hierarchically to the Head of Technology & Design centralized team of Flexible Generation & Retail Global Business Unit.

On each specific project, the H2 Storage and Transport Lead Technology Officer will also report transversally to the Technical Project Manager and/or Business Developer (depending of region's organization).

The position is located in Paris or Brussels

Job Responsibility

Role encompasses several responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support globally to the GBU projects (being at different stages of development or execution) on part of the hydrogen supply chain linking production to the end users including Hydrogen compression, Hydrogen storage, Hydrogen transport or Hydrogen conversion, storage and transport under various liquid carriers.
  • Job responsibility on projects might involve various type of roles and responsibility depending on the development stage of the projects and would include:
  • Providing Subject Matter Expert opinion on your related area of expertise
  • Interfacing with other ENGIE group entities in charge of specific area for projects needs,
  • Leading Work Package of Engineering studies related to your expertise in the context of projects,
  • Drafting Project Specification and Tendering Files as required,
  • Participating to Vendors/Technology Providers/Partners selection process,
  • Participating to project reviews (Technical Review, HAZID, HAZOP, Project assurance reviews,)
  • Ensuring that REX sessions at the end of projects stages is organized to extract learnings,
  • Punctually providing support to construction, commissioning and operation activities (onsite short term mission could be requested).
  • Aside the projects, the job responsibilities will also include
  • Liaising with GBU Centralized H2 Architect team to keep up to date the reference data for project modelling (CAPEX, OPEX) related to your area of competences and responsibilities,
  • Defining Roadmap for Key Technological Questions for the GBU for your areas of responsibilities in coordination with Project/Business Development and R&I division,
  • Providing support to H2 category management team for Vendors/Contractors screening and qualification,
  • Represent ENGIE in dedicated industry, regulatory or standardization bodies related to your area of expertise.
