Responsibilities:

  • You monitor market trends and map out their impact on our clients, our company and our employees.
  • Taking these market developments and our bank's longterm strategy into account, you then develop the strategy for the topic assigned to you (e.g. customer service)
  • Once you have identified the longterm objectives, you will identify specific projects that will help the bank achieve these objectives.
  • You will go on to explore the opportunities you identify (e.g. new products, new platforms, user journey improvements, etc.) and define and describe the logic to be used to prioritize your projects (based on client feedback, business cases and more). You will present and defend your projects in forums such as the Business Management Team or the ExCo.
  • You communicate the strategy and the projects involved to various stakeholders (Tribes, Sales, Go to Market, etc.) and create alignment surrounding the strategic priority for which you are responsible.
  • Finally, you will systematically monitor how far the bank has progressed in its implementation of the longterm strategy you have drawn up, and you will make adjustments where necessary.

Techniques/Domain Experience:

  • You have extensive expertise and a thorough understanding of one or more functional and business domains.
  • You have the ability to create new ideas/designs from a blank sheet, turn them into plans and advocate/create a structure for them
  • You use your strong analytical skills to quantify the resources for your proposals.
  • You are adept at drawing up business cases and logically evaluating the strategic importance of different opportunities.
  • You have excellent communication skills and writing skills, and you have experience in developing "executive level" presentations/memos.
  • You are comfortable working with abstract ideas.
  • You have a basic knowledge of agile and lean methodologies.
