The assignment
Assist in Setup Preparation:
- Prepare electrodes
- Assembling fluidic tubes
- Cleaning flowcell parts
- Buffer preparation and checkups (conductivity).
Characterization of chips:
- Select nanopose devices according DoE in the database
- Pretreatments of nanopore devices
- UV/Plasma chip cleaning
- Future test will involve surface modification like coatings
- Assemble flowcells
- Conduct experiments according protocol
Setup development and optimization:
- Identifying time consuming activities or other bottlenecks in test procedures and collaborate with the team to find solutions
- Provide input on new setup designs, based on learnings
Well-established translocation experiments:
- Sample introduction (flow cells)
- Recording current traces at designated voltages
Location:
Leuven
- Bachelor level
- Handson lab experience
- Basic knowledge of chemistry is required
- Motivated team player / able to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in English
