Main Responsibilities
As
Senior Service Now Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Developers shall have the overall view of the GSC environment, the equipment and software to be supported, as well as all aspects related to the GSC specific services.
  • Developers shall understand the confidentiality and sensitivity of their function. They shall be able to identify incidents and requests which are not within their security boundary, and deal with them in the appropriate way.
  • Developers shall cooperate with other services in the GSC.
  • Developers shall cooperate with external sources (suppliers, manufacturers, etc.) in order to provide and receive all necessary information to avoid duplication of resources and customer nuisance.
  • Developers shall analyse, develop, test, document and rollout any requested development related to the ITSM tool(ServiceNow). These developments may be adaptations or configurations in the tool, implementations of GSC processes in the tool, reports, exports of data, etc.

Service requirements - Developer quality
- (MR5) Developers shall have proficiency (understanding, speaking and writing
  • Level B.2 or above using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF)) in either French or English. For the other language, developers shall have a good working knowledge (Level B.1 or above using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF)).
- (MR5) Developers shall have a thorough knowledge of IT and Communication Systems environments:

  • Developers with an IT education (bachelor or higher) need to have at least two (2) years FTE experience working in IT,
  • Developers without an IT education (bachelor or higher) need to have at least four (4) years FTE experience working in IT.
- (MR5) Developers shall have previous work experience in IT development of at least two (2) years FTE, working with the technology (programming language, database, etc.) used by the ITSM tool(ServiceNow) chosen by the GSC.
- (MR5) Developers shall have previous work experience in IT development of at least one year FTE, developing for the ITSM tool(ServiceNow) chosen by the GSC.

  • Developers shall be required to have a clean criminal record.
  • Developers shall have outstanding listening and comprehension skills, interpersonal communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of professionals.
  • Developers shall have the ability to provide services in a multicultural environment.
  • Developers shall learn about and maintain a good understanding of products and relevant procedures in use at the GSC.
  • Developers can be required occasionally to provide services outside normal working hours.
  • Developers can be required to have a security clearance allowing access to classified information (up to SECRET EU level) and thus have to be prepared to undergo security screening. It is the obligation of the contractor to acquire these clearances at its own cost. The contractor needs to foresee that around 5%10% of contacts relate to classified systems. Developers shall be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
