The Brussels Dispute Resolution practice of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP is expanding and is looking for Dutch speaking junior and midlevel associates to join its team.
Our team of 9 lawyers in Brussels represent Belgian and international corporate and private equity clients as well as financial institutions on cross-border and domestic litigation and arbitration, white collar crime matters and regulatory investigations.
Our team is recognised as a market leader in corporate and commercial disputes, financial disputes, competition litigation, global investigations and risk management.
Key requirements- You are a junior or midlevel lawyer with experience in dispute resolution.
- You are Belgian law trained and have excellent academic credentials. A postgraduate degree is a plus.
- You are a Dutch speaker with an excellent command of English and a good command of French.
- You are an ambitious and motivated person with first rate technical abilities driven to do high profile work;
- You are creative, curious and rigorous, have good communication skills and are able to take on a high degree of responsibility.
- You are proactive and committed to providing an excellent service to clients.
- To be part of a leading international Dispute Resolution practice with teams spread across Europe, Asia and the US advising global clients on a range of domestic, EU and international cases.
- To have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of contentious matters in a highly dynamic environment.
- To be able to closely cooperate with colleagues in our corporate, competition, finance, tax, employment and regulatory teams based in Brussels and in other Freshfields' offices for multijurisdictional proceedings and investigations.
